Just some of the things we use our fellow animals for.

The fur trade is a multibillion dollar industry that involves breeders, trappers, hunters, buyers , dealers, manufacturers, stores , designers and the whole fashion industry. Around 40 million animals are killed for the fur trade each year exposing the extreme cruelty animals go through worldwide , 300,000 baby seals were killed in Canada alone this year.Recent ( 2005) United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) statistics list a total of 1,177,566 (a one-year increase of 7%) primates, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other species as being subjected to experimental procedures. The species by species listings include:66,610 dogs ,57,531 primates ,58,598 pigs ,245,786 rabbits ,22,921 cats ,176,988 hamsters ,64,146 other farm animals ,32,260 sheep ,231,440 other animals , and 221,286 guinea pigs. Many are used to test the eyeliner you may have, after serving their purpose of sacrificing their health to make sure you look somewhat good for that special person that doesn't really notice or care, they are often euthanized. Its apparent that the fur trade and cosmetics companies are powerful forces, but they can be stopped, most effectively by you, the people, your choices in what product to consume is the ultimate force in this society, if you stop buying animal products they will stop producing them since there is no demand, simple as that. It can be done, and we all could save a few sentient creatures like us if we just don't but from companies like Lo'real, dove, and Covergirl.
